Weather and Climate

All the atolls of the Seychelles enjoy warm and cool weather all year round. Temperatures rarely fall below 24 degrees or rise above 33 degrees centigrade. The month of April is considered the peak season of the tourism industry. This is the warmest period in the country and what most tourists want to experience. The waters and wind are calm, making it very ideal for water-sports like snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing, island hopping and fishing.

Most tourists love to trek or hike at the mountains in this time of year as well. On the months of May through to September, the trade winds blow from the Southeast and the climate is generally cooler and drier. The months of November through to March have more rain, heavy squalls, higher humidity and warmer weather. As for April and October, which are the transitional months, there is little breeze but the seas are fairly calm.
